1st Price – Apple

There was a drawing competition in a small group of children called ‘Swadhyay’. We used to go there at a house a couple of blocks away to learn religious stories from an old lady. Once they organized a drawing competition and I won the first prize. The second and third were orange and banana. That was literally the biggest apple I had ever seen. That day it was confirmed that that ability to draw free hand drawings was one of my superpowers.

I have always been fond of drawing something on paper. You will always find drawings in my notebook in which I would have drawn something during a boring lecture. The praise from the viewers is what encouraged me to draw more and put in all the hard work and if such a prize is won, it would add a greater fuel to do more of it. We are talking about the time when there was no social media which means only friends and relatives were the people to brag about your achievements. You get the point. I would not hesitate to brag even more now that I have such amazing media to brag about my achievements. And I am glad that I can spread the news to friends and relatives whom I can’t meet as often. The technology has set us apart, but I am confident that this technology will bring us together.
