Bloody Daddy is a title of a Hindi film starring Shahid Kapoor and Diana Penty. Since it is a remake of the French film Sleepless Night, we won’t talk much about the technical aspects of the cinematography because they are so good that there is a remake. If you have not watched it yet, it is currently available on Jio Cinema (depending on the time when you are reading this article).

Nowadays it feels safe to watch a remake because they have started taking it more seriously than before. It seems like the makers want to give you your regional feel to a masterpiece someone made in their language and culture.

I recommend you watch this film if you are into action films.

The Good

It is a well-made action film full of twists and realistic action sequences without any ridiculous special effects. Shahid Kapoor has done a fabulous job, and the character is played very convincing. It is still difficult to imagine him in such a role but the way he performed seems like he is genuinely into it and will make it to Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt level someday.

After this film, it will be expected that audiences demand Shahid to do more action and perhaps have his own series like John Wick, Don or Mission Impossible.

Not many will talk about the character played by Diana, but it was indeed a very crucial one and very well played by the actress.

The Bad

The swearing could have been skipped. People just like to enjoy their hero fight ten bad guys at a time with their family. If fighting a bunch of bad guys by one man isn’t very realistic, let’s not be realistic about language.

There should be more films like this in Hindi Film Industry. It is okay to remake if you’re making something that is worth a watch. Go ahead and watch Bloody Daddy if you haven’t watch it already and don’t miss the end.
